Federal Building renovations in Bellingham affects mail service.

The Federal Building finished in 1913 and one of Bellingham’s Postal Centers, is scheduled to receive extensive renovation starting in April.

Some people who still have their mail delivered to PO Boxes in the building, are going to see some changes.

If you are one of these PO Box holders you will want to stop in and grab your mail by Friday, March 31, in the morning or wait until Monday morning to find your mail.

The renovations, expected to take four or five months to complete, will completely shut down the retail postal service in the building.

Postal services will be business as usual at the Prospect Street and Orleans Street locations.
