We also feature Ives’ Unanswered Question, a classic example of American innovation, and Copland’s timeless American story as expressed in music (commissioned by another American icon: Martha Graham). We close the program with another tribute to American dance: Bernstein’s lively, cinematic piece bursting with energy.
