Unemployment in Whatcom County down in February

Whatcom County’s unemployment rate in February, 5.9%, was down nearly a full percentage point from last year and just about one-half percent from last month.

Whatcom County employers added 1900 jobs compared to last years numbers.

900 of these created jobs are State and Local Government positions.

Nearly every employment sector is up.
